In the course of our work with the villages in the Auroville Bio-region, AVAG frequently collaborates with various other organisations to implement programmes.

Auroville Botanical Gardens
Site to visit in Auroville for SHG members as part of exposure trips. They have also provided resource persons for the AVVAI Summer camp for adolescent girls. They have provided WSHG members with seedlings to start kitchen gardens. AVAG consults with Botanical Gardens to improve the garden at our office.

Auroville ITI
AVAG offers help to identify suitable students from the villages for AIAT.

Deepam

AVAG promotes awareness about the challenges of working with children with physical and mental handicaps. We also refer suitable children to the institute.

Eco-femme

AVAG’s social enterprise, AVAL, manufactures products for Eco-femme. We also collaborate with them on menstrual hygeine management trainings.

ICICI Bank
This collaboration is a part of the financial inclusion programme. They are a source of external lending for the SHG members.

Indian Bank
This collaboration is a part of the financial inclusion programme. They are a source of external lending for the SHG members. Most of the group savings accounts are with this establishment.

JIPMER
AVAG conducts health camps in collaboration with them. They also send resource persons for health seminars. JIPMER has conducted an Annual Blood Donation camp until 2016.

Lotus Circle International
They provide therapists who conduct workshops for groups and individuals at AVAG in somatic healing.

Ministry of Rural Development
The Ministry funded the SEDAB project implemented by AVAG for social enterprise development.

Mohanam
They arrange resource persons to give training in traditional dance and theatre forms to the WSHG members for the Annual Women’s Solidarity Festival. Mohanam is a fellow outreach programme of Auroville and collaborates with AVAG whenever the need arises.

NABFINS
This collaboration is a part of the financial inclusion programme. They are a source of external lending for the SHG members.

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development
AVAG invites them to meetings and seminars to promote awareness about schemes for farmers and conduct activities to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers.

PIMS
AVAG conducts health camps in collaboration with them. They also send resource persons for health seminars.

Pitchandikulam Forest
AVAG implemented the SEDAB project in association with Pitchandikulam and established a spirulina cultivation unit called Surya Spirulina.

Thamarai
AVAG has assisted Thamarai with programme implementation in the villages and also conducts joint programmes like alcohol de-addiction.

Aravind Eye Hospital, Pondicherry
AVAG organises eye camps in association with them to conduct free condultations and cataract surgeries when required.

Auroville Health Centre
AVAG implemented Auroville Health Centre’s projects related to water supply, building health sub-centres.

DATA
AVAG is part of this network for enterprise development.

District Education Office, Villupuram district (Government Dept.)
They help AVAG to get required permissions for conducting programmes in government schools like supplementary education and distribution of educational material.

District Rural Development Agency (Government Dept.)
It helps AVAG to apply for rural development schemes for the beneficiaries in Vanur Block.

Food Security Office, Vanur Block (Government Dept.)
They help us to acquire necessary licences for our women’s social enterprise.

HOPE
This is an NGO for child rights and are RTI activists. AVAG has used their expertise to promote awareness about these topics in the villages.

Micro Small Medium Enterprises (Government Dept.)
AVAG registers its social enterprises with MSME for government recognition and to apply for funding schemes. They also offer training programmes for spirulina production.

Spirulina Grower’s Association, Tamil Nadu
AVAG is a member of this association. They offer technical support to produce, market and improve skills to create value added products.

Taluk office, Vanur Taluk (Government Dept.)
AVAG applies through this department for rural welfare schemes.

Water Harvest
They helped AVAG to conduct educational seminars related to water conservation and harvesting. They also helped to collect details of water conditions in the region.
