Experience Auroville and the Neighboring Villages

This experience promotes collaboration between Auroville and the neighboring villages. We believe that to achieve unity and solidarity, empathy for each other’s reality is imperative.

We organise a series of tailored visits to different neighboring villages to learn about the village’s reality and to promote social and cultural exchange between Auroville and the bioregion. Visits to the rural communities help the Auroville residents understand the social complexity and capacity of all people irrespective of the odds stacked against them.

Similarly, visits to Auroville enable participants to know of the resources, expertise, and limitations of Auroville. This encourages everyone to see each other as fellow human beings striving for unity.
