Resources

In response to the complex set of local conditions that result in gender inequity, poverty and limited access to resources for development, we have refined a unique and multifaceted community development program, executed through a structure of Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Federations with about 4500 women and 600 men, with an emphasis on financial inclusion, community service, social enterprise development and education.

All of AVAG’s activities are designed to empower the rural communities to organize themselves for their own personal and communal empowerment. AVAG works in 78 settlements, 32 Panchayat villages, supports 251 Women Self Help Groups with 4460 members total, and 32 Men Self Help Groups with 570 members total.
